What to Binge Watch on Netflix Next

Today’s post is written by my sorority sister, Lauren!

If you’re anything like me, you live for the day when Netflix announces that it is going to make a new series or movie available to its millions of subscribers. And, again, if you’re anything like me, you can complete an entire series in a matter of days or weeks. Whether you personally subscribe to Netflix or you rely on your best friend for her account, there’s a binge watcher in you somewhere that is sure to enjoy the series below:

If your mom is your best friend: Gilmore Girls
Nothing is more heartwarming than the relationship between Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Gilmore Girls follows the charismatic mother/daughter duo through Rory’s years of high school and university. Graduating and rising college seniors can relate to Rory’s stresses as she nears the end of her academic career.

If you’re already campaigning for the presidential election: House of Cards
House of Cards is a Netflix original series that follows the fictional Frank Underwood and his wife as they climb the American political ladder. Any true “HOC” fan most likely finished watching the first two seasons in a matter of days and, to be honest, has probably already seen the recently released third season as well. But what the heck, new “HOC” seasons don’t appear very often, so go ahead and indulge in the entire series all over again!

If you can’t get Christian Grey out of your mind: The Fall
Caught daydreaming about Mr. Grey during accounting? I’m sure you’re not alone. Netflix original series The Fall features Jaime Dornan as a mysterious serial killer. Sure the series is a bit creepy and reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs, but at least you’ll get a little extra screen time with Jaime before 50 Shades of Grey is released on DVD. Bonus, season 2 of The Fall was recently released in late 2014.

“Mr. Dornan will see you now”

If you can’t wait to spend the summer living with your friends: Friends (DUH!)
An oldie, but a goodie, Friends was added to the Netflix platform in early 2015. The series details the lives of six, twenty-somethings trying to survive on their own in NYC. Whether you and your friends are moving in together for the first time, or you’re simply subletting a downtown apartment during the summer, there is an inner Rachel, Monica, or Phoebe in you that can’t wait to get out!

If you’re all binged out: Gossip Girl
We have all experienced it, the time when you feel like you’ve binged so hard on a few series that there is nothing left to watch on Netflix. It’s a sad, sad moment. In those times of despair I always return to cult classic, Gossip Girl, because what more could you really ask for than overly attractive actors who portray characters that possess overwhelming wealth and are constantly seeking to destroy one another?!
