Oh Sunday, another week has come and gone and I can’t believe it’s already the 4th day of December. Time is a funny thing. I’m sitting at my desk writing this post later than expected because I just haven’t been feeling good this week. My immune system sucks and I’m slowly getting worse rather than better. Makes sense though, considering its crunch time at school.
Today I’ll be sharing a few tidbits from this past week. If you’re unfamiliar with my TRLT This Week series, it’s basically just my weekly recap/random rambles session. I’m kind of lacking on the picture front this week, so sorry about that! But sometimes rambles are fun to read, right?
This week I decided to give up dairy for two weeks to see if it’s the reason why my chin was constantly breaking out. So far, nothing new has developed but my chin isn’t clear yet. I’m trying really hard to take care of my skin because I’ll have it forever, ya know? So, I’ll keep testing it out but let me tell you one thing, it sucks. I miss cheese and hazelnut coffee creamer and did I mention I miss cheese? I miss cheese, a lot.
It was also the first week back from Thanksgiving break and even though I’ve been back for a full week now, I still feel home sick. Something about this past break made me want to stay at home much longer, which has never happened before. I’ve never dreaded going back to school during my years at college, but this year I was dreading it. It felt kind of weird, if I’m being honest. I felt awful leaving my dogs. I mean, how could I not? Look at those faces!!
It was our Sorority’s Unity week this week. A week leading up to Initiation where we do different activities and have to dress in business attire while on campus for the whole week. We have chapter every Monday and I spent a little bit of time in the library before going to dinner with one of my sisters before our meeting.
Wednesday we had a movie night for Unity Night and we watched the Lizzie McGuire Movie! Such a gooooood movie.
Thursday was the Boston Common Tree Lighting and you know I was there. I live for Tree lighting celebrations! After it ended I went back home and made some tea and decided to watch Love Actually. So, I can cross that off of my Christmas movie list. It was actually my first time watching it and even though I was kind of confused at the beginning I figured it out and loved it!
Friday was initiation and my little is finallllllllyyyyyy an initiated sister! I’m obsessed with her and I’m so happy she’s finally a Theta Phi!
And yesterday I woke up feeling even worse than I did throughout the week. I was exhausted from a busy week of school and sorority stuff and after about an hour of being awake I couldn’t even keep my eyes open so I went back to bed. I got up after and cleaned a small bit, worked on some homework, made myself a healthy dinner of chicken and veggies (soooo good I’m craving it again), showered, did a face mask and sat on the couch for the rest of the night.
I decided to watch a movie and was browsing on demand when I noticed The Duff was an option. I knew I had to watch it because I had really wanted to see it but never got the chance and I’m kind of obsessed with Mae Whitman because of Parenthood so it was a great choice. I really liked the movie and Robbie Amell is so adorable I can’t handle him. Then I watched Paper Towns with my second love of my life Nat Wolff. I’ve seen it a bunch of times but I just really love that movie.
Okay. That is it for this past week. I’ll see you all tomorrow for Blogmas day 5! Wooh!
