Okay, I think I speak for all of us when I say that 2016 kinda was the worst year ever. So much has happened this past year that I don’t want to remember. But, there was a little bit of good sprinkled throughout each month.
Last year on December 31st I posted a 2015 in review and loved looking back on the year. So, I decided to do the same thing for this year. I know I will want to look back and remember this year, even if it wasn’t so great.
So, lets get started!
January was a new year and a new semester of school. I knew I wouldn’t be graduating (my choice) and I was happy about it!
Sorority stuff started up again, I was now secretary for TPA and everything was pretty fun!
More school, more Theta Phi and lots of homework! We celebrated my mom and step-dads birthday. I got to visit a bunch of historic houses in Boston and was working on a project with the Omni Parker House in Boston!

March was a rough month. Nonna had to have heart surgery to replace her valve and three days later I found out my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was not fun. But, I was filming at the Omni Parker during Spring Break and it was helping me keep my mind off of things. Toby also had his first Easter!!
April was Toby’s first birthday! I can’t believe my little babe is 1!! My sorority did Relay for Life and we were gearing up for finals! Also I was very obsessed with the Kendall and Kylie game during April. Theta Phi also had our annual Founders Day brunch!
In May I cut my hair really short and loved it but decided I wanted to grow it out again ASAP. My mom and I had been working on a surprise party for my step dad and it was finally this month! He was really surprised and I was so relieved to have made it through the first five months of the year without spoiling it! And my brother went to his senior prom!

June might have been the best month of the year. My brother graduated high school and I turned 22 on the 9th! Then on the 10th me and three of my friends traveled to Florida to go to Disney! It was such an incredible trip and I was soooo happy the whole week! When I got back from Disney my cousin came up from South Carolina to visit and it was so awesome to see her! My brother turned 18 at the end of the month and my documentary premiered at the Omni Parker House. Definitely one of the best months.
4th of July with my best friend, North End adventures, and working for my mom. That is pretty much it! Boring month. I was counting down the days until I was back at school.
In August I got to meet my favorite author, Colleen Hoover! She is so incredible and getting to meet her was such an incredible day for me! We also celebrated Nonna’s birthday. And at the end of the month we were told that my grandfather was cancer free!
Back to school, finally! My brother started college at the same school as me! Sorority recruitment was beginning and it was the longest week of my life but so so fun. We had our bid day and prepping for it was so much fun! Classes were good and I was happy. We also lost my aunt at the beginning of the month so it was a sad time for my family.
A lot happened in October! I got my little, Melanie, and she’s the cutest person ever! Theta Phi did the Breast Cancer walk, brought cookies to the police department, and volunteered at a Costume Dash 5k! My family went apple picking, Nonna taught me how to make homemade pizza, and I gave a tour of Boston with one of my sisters! Then it was Halloween and me and Katie were Anna and Elsa! Also, Beacon Hill does Halloween best!
November was another busy month. Isn’t my life so much more interesting when I’m in school? I love it! Some of my sisters and I attended Theta Phi day with some other chapters in the area and it was such a great experience. I always love learning from different chapters! I hung out on a rooftop with my friends and went to the Faneuil Hall tree lighting with my little! We had family time during Thanksgiving break and I went to a Friendsgiving dinner, too!
December was a whirlwind. At the beginning of the month we found out Nonna had cancer and it honestly shook us up. We were not expecting it and as I write this we are currently at her first chemo appointment. We’ve been back and forth to the doctors this month and along with the Christmas rush it has been madness around here. But some highlights include The Boston Common Tree lighting, Formal, my friend Alex’s christmas party, hanging with the pups and Christmas eve and day! It was also my last chapter meeting as secretary of Theta Phi and it was so bittersweet to end the semester with my incredible eboard!

So that was my 2016! A lot of ups and downs but that’s life, right? Here;s to hoping for a better 2017!
Happy New Years Eve, my friends! Stay safe and have fun! Cheers!
