We hear about self-care all of the time. What is it? Why do we need to do it? Self-care is any activity that we do to take care of our physical and mental health. Self-care tasks are so simple, yet we often overlook them. We are so focused on work and everything that stresses us out in life that we forget to do things for ourselves.
I’m always one to overlook taking care of myself. I get so overwhelmed and exhausted and I forget to do things for ME. It is so important for us to take care of our mental and physical health. We as humans get so beat down due to our obligations: school, work, extra curricular activities, children, and it takes a toll on us. That is why self-care is so important.
After starting my new job, I’ve done little to just chill. I’m exhausted and go to bed almost as soon as I get home. I do things like read and basic hygiene, but I’m starting to slack. That’s why I came up with this 31 Days of Self-Care challenge. You all know I love to write things down on here so I can hold myself accountable. I need to take better care of myself, even when working a full-time job!
